My Memoir has “Stabilized“

My memoir has 10 chapters that, over 2 1/2 years, have “stabilized“ and remained more or less the same, the titles and general subject matter. I have revised each of these chapters countless times, 10, 20, 30 times, each revision allowing me to perceive the entire chapter in a new and hopefully more sophisticated, insightful manner. The last 10 days I have been working on the chapter about the 14 French people I got to know in Gabon. These people remain very alive for me 38 years later. I have photographs for about half of these people. For the remainder I have to rely on written notes.
