Thanks, Fred. That additional feedback helps. “professional and attractive” is what I want!! I’m paying Ben to design the website and show me how to maintain it after he is done. We are working together well now after a sluggish start. Normally he designs websites for small, profit-making businesses, so I am a different kettle of fish.
If you look at the website more closely, give me some feedback on individual parts of it–the blog postings, photos, text that I wrote about me, the Memoir, the research. Tell me if there are areas that are confusing or don’t “flow” well.
We are focusing on LOTS of interesting photos (people love photos and visuals!) and continually updated blogging; fresh blog texts so that the website seems continually dynamic and alive. Worst thing you can do is go to a website and see that the last blog posting was done 6 weeks earlier. You wonder, “is this person asleep at the wheel? Are they paying any attention to their website?” Old and out of date postings are deadly for a website.
